Goals in either half by Keith Cummins and Donovan Cosgrove were decisive but the foundation for the win was a wonderful performance from the Kiltimagh defence. The final will be in McHale Park on Thursday 26th July 2012 and the opposition will be Belmullet. Jun 20, 2012, 8:55 pm Kiltimagh's back game with Kiltane in Division 1B will be played on Saturday 23rd JUne 2012 in Knockmore at 7.30pm. Jun 11, 2012, 8:49 pm Kiltimagh are drawn with Claremorris, Ballintubber and Burrishoole in the County U14 Championship. Their first game is away to Claremorris on Thursday the 21st June 2012 at 6pm. Jun 6, 2012, 9:06 pm Kiltimagh U12 Ladies have secured a top four finish in Division 1 and that means they go into the finals play-off for the Division 1 Cup. The Division 1 finals day will take place in Kiltimagh on Sunday the 17th June 2012 and commences at 11am. Jun 5, 2012, 10:21 pm Kiltimagh GAA Club will be hosting a novel competition in July. It is a competition modelled on the Gaelic Tag, similar to tag rugby, and is geared towards men and women. The aim is to have fun and enjoyment but to work on the fitness as well. It is no contact sport for young and old. Those as young as 16 can participate while there is no upper age limit. If you feel fit enough, you’re young enough. Each squad has a maximum of 10 players. The game is 7-a-side but there is unlimited use of substitutions throughout the game. Each panel must have a minimum of 4 ladies and each team must have a minimum of 2 ladies on the field at any time. Each squad must have a minimum of 1 player over 40, whether male or female. Ladies and over-40s are a bonus for any team as there is a premium on scores from ladies and over 40s. The league section of the competition will be played over 3 nights in July – 5th, 12th and 26th and then there will be cup and plate semi-finals and then the finals. Entry fee is €300.00 per team, which works at €30.00 per person or €6.00 per person per night. Included in that entry fee will be two training nights, on Thursdays 21st and 28th June and the final night for entry of teams is Friday 29th June 2012. May 30, 2012, 8:19 pm The Mayo County Board County Development Draw will take place again shortly. Representatives from Kiltimagh GAA Club will be calling with tickets soon and, as usual, they are available from any officer of the Club. The cost of the ticket remains at €100.00 this year but this year the Club will have a number of vouchers from local businesses available to those who purchase the tickets and support the Club. These vouchers will provide benefits to those purchasing tickets and this should result in the tickets proving to be excellent value this year. Local business: Gilmartins, Carrolls, Heneghan’s Pharmacy, The Copy Shop, Finns Shoes, Quinn Farm Supplies, Genfitt, Mulherns, Cill Aodain Court Hotel, The Central Perk, and Park Hotel as well as Eddie Murphy from Ballyhaunis will all be participating in the voucher scheme with various generous promotions on offer. May 25, 2012, 8:26 am Due to the tragic death of Gary Price in Laos, Swinford GAA Club requested Kiltimagh to postpone the championship game to the weekend of 2nd June 2012 and Kiltimagh have agreed to do so. Therefore, it is likely that this game will now be played on Saturday 2nd June 2012 at 7pm in Swinford. |
