Kiltimagh 0-8 Ballintubber 0-9
Kiltimagh suffered a sickening one point defeat in the County Final last Sunday. They fought back from a 3 point deficit to level the game after 6 minutes of injury time. But, despite having signalled 4 minutes injury time (and there was a bit of a delay in actual injury time) the referee played another minute and, in that time Ballintubber put over the winning score. Oct 1, 2007, 2:39 pm This game was posponed due to the death of Niall Gilmartin. The game is now re-fixed for Saturday 6th October 2007 at 6pm. Venue: Mayo Abbey Sep 20, 2007, 10:13 pm The club lost one of its greatest supporters on the 19th September 2007 with the untimely passing of Niall Gilmartin. The tragic circumstances of Niall's death stunned the town and the club know that a huge voice will be missing from McHale Park next Sunday. The Gilmartin Family have been the mainstay of the Club for many years, the pitch bearing the name of Niall's uncle, Joseph Gilmartin. It is difficult to express the words of sadness we all feel on Niall's passing but he has left an indelible mark on the community. Our thoughts are with Nialls family at this time.
