Highlight of the night was the Hall of Fame Award to Chisty Feerick, who soldiered gamely for the Club on and off the field for many years. Damien Gallagher was a very popular choice as Senior Player of the Year, as was Michael Walsh as Junior Player of the Year. The hard work of Seamus Corry was acknowledeged by his Clubman of theYear award. The remaining Awards were given to: Mairead Charlton, U12 Girls; Emmet Farrington, U12 boys; Katie Byrne, U14 Girls; Thomas Forkan, U14 boys; Elizabeth Lavin U16 Girls; Micheal Schlingermann, U16 boys; Blake Forkan, U18 and John McNicholas, U21. Jan 18, 2008, 6:11 pm The Mayo GAA, in conjunction with Connacht Council, are funding 5 Gaeltacht scholarships for any young people involved with GAA Clubs in the county so that they can improve their Irish during the Easter Holidays. Each scholarship is worth €200.00 and they must be availed of during the Easter Holidays in 2008. All 5 lucky members will be attending Colaiste Lir in Aghleam, North Mayo for their Easter Course which runs from 18th to 29th March. It is open to all GAA Club members between the ages of 12 and 17 and anyone interested can contact any member of the executive or contact Sean Feeney, Runai Mayo County Board at Crann Mor, Partry, Ballintubber ar email their interest to mayoscor@gmail.com.Jan 18, 2008, 6:08 pm The 30th Anniversary Presentation Dance of Kiltimagh GAA Club will take place this Friday night in the Park Hotel. Following this year's excellent displays from the Intermediate team, there is great interest in who will be chosen as Player of the Year. with some sterling contributions from quite a number of players, competition for this coveted award must be intense. Presentations for Players of the Year at all underage levels from Under 12 up to Under 21 and for Junior Player of the Year will also be made. Kiltimagh narrowly lost out to neighbours Aghamore in the Junior B Final played in good conditions at Kiltimagh on Sunday last. Nov 15, 2007, 11:04 pm Sean Malee has been nominated for the Mayo News' Mayo Football All-Stars. Sean, following some great displays in 2007, including 2 man of the match performances in the County semi-final and final, has picked up a nomination in the forward section. The presentation function takes place in the TF Castlebar on Friday 30th November 2007. Tickets are €50.00 and are available from Tod O' Mahony 087 6822823 or any member of the executive. All proceeds are donated to Down Syndrome Mayo. Nov 15, 2007, 9:11 pm The Club's Annual Race Night will take place on Friday the 28th December 2007. Horses are available again at the usual price of €30.00 each and can be purchased from any member of the executive.
