A late goal nearly led to Kiltimagh snatching the points but Castlebar did just enough to survive. Apr 13, 2009, 10:22 pm Kiltimagh 0-9 Islandeady 0-10: Kiltimagh narrowly lost their opening game to Islandeady. A point, 5 minutes into injury time, from a close in free denied Kiltimagh the points in a game they dominated. Mar 28, 2009, 10:42 pm Kiltimagh kick off their league campaign next Sunday, 5th April 2009, in Islandeady at 2.30pm. Their first home game will be the following Saturday evening, Easter Saturday, when they take on Achill in Gilmartin Park at 6pm. The team have got 2009 off to a relatively reasonable start, having qualified for the County Junior League final, following 3 straight wins in their group. Mar 28, 2009, 10:38 pm Mayo Senior Footballer, Andy Moran, appeared at the Park Hotel Kiltimagh to present the Kiltimagh panel of players with their medals. This was a great celebratory night for this panel of players who did the club proud in 2008 winning the East Mayo and County Championship as well as the County League. The players also acknowledged the great efforts of coaches, Micky Mallee, Paul Lydon, Damien Gallagher and Michael McNicholas and, in turn, made a presentation themselves to each of the coaches. While the group contains 2 "B" teams, Claremorris B are likely to contain quite a number of their very strong 2008 Under 21 team and Ballintubber's second string are also a difficult outfit.
