Jul 28, 2009, 11:32 pm Kiltimagh 0-10 Kilmovee 0-7: In a fairly dire game, Kiltimagh lasted the pace and stayed in front of Kilmovee to hold out for a 3 point win in this East Mayo Junior Championship Final. Jul 23, 2009, 9:59 pm The annual tounament to commemorate John Morley and Henry Byrne will take place on Friday the 31st July 2009. Kiltimagh again take on a team from the Garda Siochana. The game will take place at Gilmartin Park, Kiltimagh at 7.30pm. John and Henry were murdered following a raid on the Bank of Ireland, Ballaghadereen on the 7th July 1980 and it is fitting that a team from the Gardai again participate in the tournament. For a great number of years the tournament was sponsored by the the Bank of Ireland. Unfortunately, the Bank are no longer in a position to continue their sponsorship. However, the Park Hotel have stepped into the breach and agreed to sponsor this year's tournament. The game will be followed with a presentation in the Park Hotel, Kiltimagh later that evening. All are welcome to attend. Jul 20, 2009, 10:11 pm The draw in the Connacht Minor Final means that the U21 Championship Game vs Ardnaree will not go ahead on Wednesday 2nd July 2009. Jul 17, 2009, 8:26 pm Kiltimagh advance to their third Final of the season, having qualified for the East Mayo Junior Championship. The game was postponed from Saturday 25th July 2009 and will now take place in Foxford on Tuesday 28th July 2009 at 7.45pm. Jul 15, 2009, 11:07 pm Aghamore 2-8 Kiltimagh 0-9: Kiltimagh lost out to Aghamore in the final of the Canon Henry Tournament. Aghamore were deserved winners putting in a much more consistent performance than Kiltimagh and, truth be told, Kiltimagh were fortunate that the margin was only 5 points at the finish. Jul 15, 2009, 11:05 pm Kiltimagh lost out to Islandeady in the County League Semi-Final. There was little to chose between the sides when Kiltimagh came back into this game in the second half. However, a defensive laspe, when there was just 4 points between the sides, let Islandeady in for a 4th goal and killed off Kiltimagh's challange. Jul 13, 2009, 10:28 pm In the final round of the East Mayo Junior Championship, Kiltimagh make the trip to Charlstown to take on the Charlestown Junior team. This is a straight off winner takes all game, with the winner advancing to the Final. The game throws in at 7pm on Saturday 18th July 2009 |
