Sep 13, 2009, 7:02 pm Kiltimagh 1-11 St Gerard's 0-4: Kiltimagh rounded off their league game with a win over St Gerard's at Carramore on the 13th September 2009. Both clubs brought this game forward and played without their Mayo Minor contingents. Kiltimagh proved the stronger and finished 10 points clear of their fellow Championship semi-finalists. Sep 6, 2009, 9:39 pm Kiltimagh 2-13 Parke 0-10: A devastating second half performance secured the win that Kiltimagh needed to be sure of capturing the league title. A below par first half performance was put behind them as goals from Noel Lydon and Paul Regan set them on their way to victory. Sep 4, 2009, 9:37 pm Kiltimagh 1-10 Swinford 0-8: Kiltimagh were the better of the sides in this tense final and eventually prevailed by 5 points. It was very close in the first half and Kiltimagh secured a two point lead at the break. Kiltimagh were hard pressed to maintain that lead and with the game going into injury time that was still the margin between the sides. A goal would have finished Kiltimagh at that point but it was Kiltimagh who put the ball in the net, through the boot of David Lydon, to seal a well deserved win. While the U14 team finished strongly to claim the title, the U12s lost out narrowly to Charlestown. |
